My Chuck E. Cheese Theory

We went to CEC last night and, well, it was pretty bad. The place was filled with weirdos and most of the games were broken. I came to the conclusion that the dregs all take their kids to CEC during the week when the normal people have their kids at home doing homework & getting ready for bed. On the weekends the normal people take their kids to CEC because they don't have school the next day and the dregs are all at the bars so their kids are at home. Maybe Sundays are the best day to go - normal parents know there's school the next day & the dregs are too hung over to go.

My average morning

FOr being a Mom and a wife I have it pretty good. I get up in the morning and get everone off to work and school and then I have 20 to 30 blissful minutes to myself. Yes, I should be using this time to get ready for work but that is often secondary. I usually use this time to catch up on crap tv. Crap tv is pretty much any show (if you can even call them that) that is on MTV in the 10 spot. I am addicted (shamefully) to these shows. Real World, My Super Sweet Sixteen, Ashlee Simpson Show & of course, Newlyweds.

Newlyweds really cracks me up. generally the show is about how Nick hangs out and does what he wants and how Jessica goes to work. The last episode I saw was especially fun because while Jessica was shooting the Dukes of Hazzard movie, Nick was in NYC to spend Christmas with family & friends. He takes his parents and his brohter Isaac to FAO Schwartz so that Isaac can pick someting out. Cut ot the next shot - they have a personal shopping assistant (or saleslady to us poor folk) that takes them around the store to show them all of the really great things they can buy..like a toy Ferrari for $50,000 or a giant stuffed elephant for $60,000. The whole time the parents & Nick & Isaac are looking at her like she's crazy ( and she must be). She finally shows them a walk on paino (like in the movie Big) that they could get for only $125,000!!! To which Nick replies - yeah - or he could go to college! Just realy funny. Next time I go to NYC I'm going to have someone walk around FAO with me...look here's a lego set for $3 and a Chutes and Ladders game for $10..thank you for shoppig FAO Schwartz!

Seriously, props to Nick for seeming sensible enough to not drop 10K in a toy store!

Did you see the Super Bowl?

Because I didn't. We had our annual Super Bowl party so I never actually sit down and watch the game. Great party in my estimation. Lots of food, family and friends. My almost 3 year old stayed up way too late, but once in awhile won't hurt him.

I really didn't care too much about watching it anyway. Even the commercials I did get to see weren't that great.

OH - YEAH - I think my kid's meal thing is blown becasue we took our son and a friend to Burger King this weekend promising them Hot Wheels cars and...yeah...they were out so we got some crappy toy. They both took it well, but I really hate when that happens.

To anyone that's going - have fun at the Apple Store, and...you really need a superdrive!

Internet=bored

Why is it that when I'm bored I go to the internet. I'm sure I'm not the only one. You're stitting around and have nothing really ot do or you're procrastinating from work and you think "I must look online for...". Just how did people blow-off before the internet??

That's why, for me, blogging is great. I can write to no one in particluar instead of constantly bothering friends and family with mindless e-mail and IM's.

we made it through January - just 2 or 3 more months to go and we can start thinking about spring here. Actually the weather hasn't been so bad. Our sled path is nicely coated with ice so that you feel like you're out of control and not going to stop. I really love sledding. I'm sure I'll break something by spring.

Happy February - and don't forget...rabbit, rabbit, rabbit.
