Would you listen!!

Why do people refuse to listen? They really do only hear what they want to. I am so tired to telling people things at work and then 2 weeks later they act as if they never heard what I had said. Today is rainy and warm & I am having a REALLY crappy day at work. The kind of day that makes you want to say "fuckit" and go be a hermit on a beach somewhere. I just do not have the patience for people anymore. One more thing and I think I will completely snap!

Opening Day

Went to the Pirates opening day yesterday with the family. Always a great time. We were talking about it and I think there has only been one opener that we've been to that the crowd has been really out of hand. That was back long ago at Three Rivers. The weather was beautiful in the 'Burgh, especially since we had 2 feet of snow at our house in Erie.

Had some dogs and the best popcorn I have ever tasted while at the park. Seriously - the popcorn behind rightfield is to die for!!! And yes - it was $6 for a big bag but we enjoyed every bite.

Great day even though the Bucco's lost & we are exhausted!!

Sweet warm weather

We are having two absolutely great warm days here in Erie. It feels so good jsut to be able to stand outside without freezing your (insert name of favorite body part) off.

You would think that we live in Alaska for the way people act when the nice weather comes back. Everyone is out doing the lunch stroll (myself included).

Right after I got home last night my whole family went outside and worked and played. There's nothing better than that. When we bought the house (6 years ago now) we really loved the fact that it had a big yard that we could spend time in. Well, we never really did until my son came along. Now we are finally getting the use out of it that we should! We played until close to 7!! Noah needs to get out more and practice his baseball playing. If he keeps it up we should be losing a ton of balls by the end of summer!

We're (as in my husband) also planning on building a playset/swingset this spring/summer. Noah wants to get started...now. It's a little too soon still - probably not until May or so.

Of course, everyone in Erie knows that this great weather is just a fluke. We have plenty of rainy days and chilly days in our future. Still - it's nice to make believe it's summer!

Happy 3rd Birthday Noah!

Noah had his birthday on Friday & it was pretty fun...for being Good Friday! Crazy busy this weekend with all sorts of activities. It will be nice to slow down this week and just be home. It seems like spring might not be so far away - it may get into the 50's this week! I'll believe it when I see it.

The Pixar pals are very...er...pallish. Actually they don't do anything but Noah is having a ball with his Dash doll. Dash got his hair washed in the bathroom sink today. He also cheers Noah on with the whole undress/dress yourself thing which Noah is really getting good at.

In like a lion...

March is certainly roaring in like a lion for us. We've gotten about a foot of snow this week, which is usually no big deal for us in Erie, PA but we're a bit out of practice. We haven't had a very snowy winter and it may have been back in November or early December that we had this much snow at one time. Also, Noah is sick - has been all week so that's been keeping us well off of our normal schedule. We have, however, been watching every Jimmy Neutron that has been on all week. I really sort of like this show. I think the creators have some love affair with Quentin Tarantino because there are alot of references to his movies and evena character (Quentin Smithee) that comes to make a movie. Mostly, it's a fun show that makes me laugh and isn't that what cartoons are supposed to be about?
